Inflation Hits Core Categories Hard. According to the US government, May inflation rates hit a 40-year high with prices rising an average of 8.6% year over year. But what about the last few months? Have prices risen or fallen on in the last 120 days?


Because we were curious, Webata tracked the average price of more than 165,000 items listed by Walmart on Overall, the average price jumped from $13.32 to $16.98, representing a 27% increase!
